Here are some more flower pictures from Deanna Rose as well as some water pictures that I forgot to include in the previous post. Sunday was for sure the hottest day yet and what a better way to cool off?? These were taken at the Mining Exhibit at the farm.

Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead
This last weekend was a very busy one but to end it we took Jay's parents and Caiden to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. For those of you who live in the KC area and have children, this is a MUST! The cost is a simple donation as well as $1.00 here or $3.00 there for pony rides, fishing poles, fish food, bottles of milk, etc.- SO WORTH IT! From what I understand this farm was created to honor the life and service of a police officer who died in the line of duty. I think that is a fantastic cause and I for one have no problems donating to such an honorable charity. This place is equipped with a fishing pond, Native American Tee pees, a school house, a LIVE bald eagle!, nature trails and..... I could go on and on. What can I say.... I {LOVE} THIS PLACE! Each place we went I thought it was Caiden's favorite; the Butterfly Garden, the children's tractors, THE BABY GOATS, dairy barn and of course, the Mining Exhibit. I seriously cannot wait to take him here when he gets older so we can go fishing and do the pony rides and possibly have birthday party....or at least a 1/2 birthday party.....?? (What do you do with kids who have birthdays in the middle of winter???). So now that I have your attention......

So seriously... I loved the baby goats, they are so cute!

Another trip to the zoo.....
Since this was a nice, long weekend Jay and I decided to take Caiden to the zoo again. The weather couldn't have been better. We saw ALL the animals, even the ones you don't normally get to see and even got to check out the Sea Lion show which we always seem to miss...We went with friends of ours (Craig and Jenna) and had a really great time. We got Caiden an aligator toy and Craig bought him a nifty zoo hat. He had so much fun playing with the aligator he passed out somewhere in Africa.
Stephanie & Jerry's Wedding
My little sister Stephanie got married a week ago to Jerry Mills. They had a BEAUTIFUL wedding and everything went off without a hitch. She was really nervous about the rain because she wanted lots and lots of pictures. Thank goodness it didn't rain until later that night so she was able to get tons outside the church in Fulton and then all around Jefferson City. It was such an awesome experience and we are all very honored to welcome Jerry into our family. Good luck guys and I hope you had a blast on your honeymoon. Since I was the Matron of Honor I didn't get the chance to photograph Jerry much but I did get my camera out for a few shots (with the permission of the hired photograper of course!).

Just your typical Friday Night....
The last couple of Fridays we haven't had anything planned so we have kind of developed a pattern as to what we do.....
1. Start the day off eating something really messing and gooey, CHECK.
2. Go to daycare and body tackle the little girls and give them giant raspberries on their belly. (There is no evidence of this but I do believe that it happens)
3. Come home and help exercise Chase (and Danny).
This is your typical Friday night lately......I love it!

Puddles of Fun
A couple of weeks ago Caiden and I visited my Grandparents in Southern Missouri for the weekend. While we were there not only did it rain but it was hands down the worst storm I have experienced in a long, long time. We are talking crazy lightening and endless rolls of thunder. Thank goodness Caiden slept right through it all (even though the rest of us didn't!). Is it just me or has this been a weird Spring with lots of crazy storms? The best part were the rain puddles left in the driveway for Caiden to splash in. Here are a few pictures of his adventure.

Steph's Shower
This past weekend we had a shower for our younger sister Stephanie. She is getting married June 28th and we are all really excited. My Aunt Debbie had an awesome idea to have the shower at the nursing home where several of our family members live. This worked out GREAT
because so many more people were able to make it to the shower that otherwise wouldn't have. We came with extra cake for anyone interested in joining our party and it was a good thing! We all had great time visiting with one another and watching Steph open her presents. The big event is coming soon though so watch for new posts!
