A little blast into the past

As many of you know I am currently back in school pursuing my Master of Arts in Teaching. In a few short months I will be elbow deep in my semester of student teaching and after that I hope to find a job teaching art in an elementary school.
Since I was an Interior Design Major as an undergrad I was required to take the majority of my art classes but there are a few that weren't required of me that I am taking now. Everyday I walk down the hallways and look at such incredibly talented work that it blows my mind. The students are getting better and better every year as well as the teachers and their projects.
Anyway, I was thinking about my own personal artwork and how boring it is compared to the rad things they are doing in school now. It inspired me to get my really really old work out and get a good laugh at it. These are all from the 98-99 and 99-00 school years.
Figures are still tricky for me but I'd like to think I've come a long way since these days! I am also thankful that the classes I was in this semester didn't require me to draw boring still lifes. I was actually blessed to have three 3-D classes this past year: Sculpture, Fibers and Ceramics. I plan on taking pictures of my most recent work and posting to give you an update on what it looks like now.
I also hope to find some of my old Interior Design projects to post as well. It is interesting to see how evolved the world has gotten. For the photographers out there think of your days of shooting film vs. the digital days. When I was an undergrad we did EVERYTHING by hand which was very tedious and time consuming. Nowadays everything is created on the computer using Auto CAD and there are countless websites to visit to help with furniture, fabrics, layouts, etc.
I have a ton more art projects out there that were done toward the end of my 4-1/2 years that are actually decent but I need to find them! There are several locations that they could be I just need to start looking......

Look at our loot!

My Mother-In-Law works for Proctor and Gamble and every year they get gift boxes for Christmas filled with all of their products. Being the kind person that she is, she shares her gifts with us and we love it! These are all the items we got in our gift box this year which is only about 1/3 of what she was given. Isn't that amazing? There is so much!
There are so many good products here that people use every single day. I think this is great because it not only is a responsible gift for their employees but it supports the use of their own products as well.
I can't wait to try out my new swiffer wet jet!
