Summertime Fun

One thing that C and I do almost every night is go outside to play in the yard, blow bubbles and water the "flowies". At 18 months he loves to help mommy do just about anything so right now yardwork and housework are fun for him....don't worry, I won't get used to it.

I was dropping him off at the babysitter's last week and the neighbor across the street was having a garage sale. I saw this tricyle and little car each for $5 and I couldn't resist. We have played with them everynight since then and C is so proud of his new rides.

More Flower Pictures

Here are some more flower pictures from Deanna Rose as well as some water pictures that I forgot to include in the previous post. Sunday was for sure the hottest day yet and what a better way to cool off?? These were taken at the Mining Exhibit at the farm.

Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead

This last weekend was a very busy one but to end it we took Jay's parents and Caiden to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. For those of you who live in the KC area and have children, this is a MUST! The cost is a simple donation as well as $1.00 here or $3.00 there for pony rides, fishing poles, fish food, bottles of milk, etc.- SO WORTH IT! From what I understand this farm was created to honor the life and service of a police officer who died in the line of duty. I think that is a fantastic cause and I for one have no problems donating to such an honorable charity. This place is equipped with a fishing pond, Native American Tee pees, a school house, a LIVE bald eagle!, nature trails and..... I could go on and on. What can I say.... I {LOVE} THIS PLACE! Each place we went I thought it was Caiden's favorite; the Butterfly Garden, the children's tractors, THE BABY GOATS, dairy barn and of course, the Mining Exhibit. I seriously cannot wait to take him here when he gets older so we can go fishing and do the pony rides and possibly have birthday party....or at least a 1/2 birthday party.....?? (What do you do with kids who have birthdays in the middle of winter???). So now that I have your attention......
So seriously... I loved the baby goats, they are so cute!..

Another trip to the zoo.....

Since this was a nice, long weekend Jay and I decided to take Caiden to the zoo again. The weather couldn't have been better. We saw ALL the animals, even the ones you don't normally get to see and even got to check out the Sea Lion show which we always seem to miss...We went with friends of ours (Craig and Jenna) and had a really great time. We got Caiden an aligator toy and Craig bought him a nifty zoo hat. He had so much fun playing with the aligator he passed out somewhere in Africa.

Stephanie & Jerry's Wedding

My little sister Stephanie got married a week ago to Jerry Mills. They had a BEAUTIFUL wedding and everything went off without a hitch. She was really nervous about the rain because she wanted lots and lots of pictures. Thank goodness it didn't rain until later that night so she was able to get tons outside the church in Fulton and then all around Jefferson City. It was such an awesome experience and we are all very honored to welcome Jerry into our family. Good luck guys and I hope you had a blast on your honeymoon. Since I was the Matron of Honor I didn't get the chance to photograph Jerry much but I did get my camera out for a few shots (with the permission of the hired photograper of course!).
