My Grandma and Grandpa Davis have had a garden in their backyard forever. Longer than I have been alive. I remember running down to the strawberry patch when I was a kid to see if there were any strawberries I could pick and eat off the vine. It has been awhile since they grew strawberries but the garden is still flourishing. They have tomatoes, cucumbers, red peppers, green peppers, banana peppers, squash and much, much more. They also have beautiful flowers surrounding their new screened in porch I got some shots of.
This is my life as it comes hurdling by....

A week on the Road
My sister and I are both teachers which means we got the chance to take a road trip with our kiddos down to Marshfield and visit family this week. Our grandparents live there and our Great Grandpa Turner was visiting from Iowa so we got to see him too. We had a blast and definitely made memories that will last a lifetime.

A Craft Project- Bird Houses
During the summer I try to have something fun for us to do every day. Sometimes it is something small like have ice cream and sometimes it is a big thing like painting Bird Houses!
Well today was the day!
Can you tell he was excited? I think this may be my new favorite picture of Caiden. He didn't even want to finish breakfast he was so enthused about painting his bird house. Here he is with his unfinished House and the paint he picked out. Yellow- big surprise huh?
He also picked out orange and green for me (because he knows they are my favorite colors) and blue because that is his other favorite color.
Almost Finished........
Finished!
And this is how I painted my bird house. With a little "birdie" attached to me. It was quite tricky actually because that is my right arm he is holding on to. Whenever he would get really excited and start kicking or waving his arms, my arm went crazy too. There are a few spots on my bird house that I had to redo but no big deal. He just didn't want to be left out!

A wedding memory that will last a lifetime
This past week we were in Austin, TX for Jay's family reunion. I will post about that later because I have a TON of pictures to share.
THIS post is about the picture below. Do you see the purple coloring in her eye? That happened 5 plus years ago at our wedding. One of our cousins was playing with a purple sharpie and accidentally poked pour Courtney in the eye. She was rushed to the emergency room only to have them tell her it would eventually go away and to just keep an eye on it. Well, we have been! It looks like the purple is here to stay.
