For some reason I have been having trouble with my pictures uploading. I'm not sure what or where the problem is but here is a picture of what Caiden looks like now. It's funny because he has always looked so much like HIS dad and now that his head is shaved he looks like pictures I have seen of MY dad when he was this age.

Deana Rose Farmstead Take Two-
So I loved Deana Rose so so much that I took Caiden back again this weekend and met up with some friends and their kids. Eli is just 3 weeks older than Caiden and Lily is a whole 12 weeks old. Even though she didn't get to do much I still think she enjoyed watching all the people and seeing the animals up close. It was a beautiful day with great weather so of course it was incredibly busy. The funniest thing happened while I was there too- a girl randomly came up to me and asked if I was Libby's sister. When I replied yes (that is my older sister) she said that she was from Marshfield and she remembers me from when I was 4 years old. Apparently I still look exactly the same! It got even funnier when she called her mother over to see me and her mother reminded her that she named her cat after me when I was a baby. I'm pretty sure I never knew that before but how flattering! Anyway, it reminds me of how small this world can be.
Lice
This is my son before lice.....
This is my life for the past two days....
This is my son after lice...
He is still such a cutie and he has been a trooper through this whole miserable process. I am so proud of him and the way he has handled the whole ordeal- I think he took it way better than I did. Although we still haven't found where or how he got lice I am hoping to have it all under control by the end of the week. I just keep telling myself even though this is a lot of work it could have been something more serious or life threatening so count your blessings.
Doesn't he look so grown up?

I wouldn't have wanted anyone to miss it....
Oops- Not all my pictures uploaded. Please scroll down to the third picture on the previous post. That's right.
Jay's Trophy
My family has a traveling trophy that we all play for two times a year. The first time is for the NCAA Tournament and the second is for the NFL season. It is a great honor to win this trophy because with it comes some major bragging rights. (Please scroll down to picture #4 now.) Anyway, Jay won the 2008 NCAA Tournament and we, ahem, HE received the trophy in the mail yesterday. We are waiting to see who wins the NFL Tournament this year to get both his name and the new name on at the same time. It's just as well too because I am going to kick some but this year in the NFL and conquer BOTH tournaments like my husband.
I also wanted to add for the sake of my mother that if this trophy had been made a couple of years ago it would read Carla Ahrens all the way down. Way to go Mom!
